Kiley's Belle Skirt and Cutie Shirt

 In an attempt to break away from Minnie Mouse we've been watching some princess movies - namely Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. Kai has decided that Belle is her favorite princess so Mommy decided she needed a Belle outfit. The skirt was really easy to make and I used a pattern from Frou Frou by Heather Sue for the Belle applique (I also got her Rapunzel cutie - she has some really cute designs). Here's the finished product. I can't wait for her to wear it!

It's finally done! I hope Kiley likes it. I made it for her to wear the day we go to the Magic Kingdom.

Kiley's Minnie Dress

Tonight I'm starting a Minnie dress for kiley to wear when we go to the Magic Kingdom. I'm using an apron dress pattern, leaving off the apron and adding a under-layer with a ruffle. I'm thinking of adding either either an applique or embroidery of Minnie to the skirt.

It finally got warm enough to go down to the cave and finish this outfit. There were a few hairy moment when I was working on the button holes but I think it turned out pretty well.

Time to make Kai a new outft!

This project started with an outfit I bought over a year ago with the thought that maybe I could use it to make a similar one:

I pulled it out of the drawer the other day and tried it on Kai - it finally fit. So, I made a pattern for the bodice and the pants and measured all the other pieces. I was reasy to start!

Here's my latest venture - a shirt for my friend's daughter for her 2nd birthday. She's going to be wearing this shirt with a super-cute rainbow tutu that her mommy made for her.
